		<description>Hmm... Went ahead and bought the 765t. I should have stuck with my 660, though. Here&#039;s why:

- The 765t features 3D buildings, but you don&#039;t need them And they slow down the map redraw. They can be turned off, though.

- The map rendering is painstakingly slow. And the map redraws from scratch all the time. Not ok. I guess that&#039;s the price to pay for nice anti-aliasing and smooth graphics. Give me fast rendering, any time, please.

- The eco-route-thing is utterly useless. Who wants to spend 50% more time driving to save a few bucks? This is eco-nonsense.

- You can&#039;t(!) turn off the damn beep everytime you touch the screen without turning off all sounds. This was possible on the 660. OMG, WHY HAS THIS CONTROL BEEN REMOVED??

- Worst of all: Garmin has chosen to save some bucks on the LCD screen. It&#039;s quite clearly of bad quality. Compared to the 660 it&#039;s rubbish. About one out of ten time you press the screen it screws up the coordinates and prints another letter than you&#039;ve pressed. And not just the letter besides the one you pressed, no, a completely random letter. This is not OK for a unit in that price range.

Nice stuff: 

- Custom routes.
- Text to speech in Danish (at last)
- Maps seems reasonably up-to-date (and the 60 days map guarantee works)

It seems like Garmin has trown together this unit just to get something out there. If you have a 660 or something like it: Don&#039;t bother upgrading. Buy a new map and enjoy your old unit for one more year.

Newt time it WILL be a Tomtom for me.</description>

Hvis du har ret i, at kun et ubetydeligt fåtal roder med Adblocker eller lign., så er problemet jo til at overskue for onlinemedierne, og så er det måske overkill fra Berlingskes side overhovedet at ruste op. Aid Online kræver jo også browserplugins. Men som sagt: jeg kan sagtens forstå dem. Jeg ville selv blive tosset, hvis Aid Online eller lign. angreb det økonomiske grundlag for min service.

Stadigvæk minder det mig om musikbranchens reaktion på P2P-bølgen, hvor man i stedet for at søge anderledes markeder i lang tid blev voldsomt defensive. Jeg er overbevist om, at hele mediebranchen bliver nødt til at gå nye veje for at imødegå den fremtid, der allerede er her: At vi kan fravælge reklamer. 

Det er med det nye &quot;Nej tak&quot;-skilt blevet meget nemt og effektivt at stoppe print-reklamer. Spam-reglerne skærpes online som offline, ikke mindst i USA. Dagblade, hvor læseren af gode grunde ikke kan fravælge annoncer, lider en stille død. Timeshifting med TiVO og lign. dingenoter har i USA kostet broadcasters mange annoncepenge, og det ser ud til, at der vil ske det samme i Danmark. Jeg synes der tegner sig et mønster.

Medgivet: Specialmagasinerne klarer sig bedre (i hvert fald før krisen), og noget tyder på, at målrettet indhold af tilpas høj kvalitet kan bære selv mange reklamer - så længe de ikke kan vælges fra, altså. Tekstannoncerne på Google er også et format, der tilsyneladende har en anderledes levedygtighed - ikke mindst pga. målretning og relevans. Men jeg tror de skal genopfindes gang på gang, efterhånden som bannerblindhed sætter ind.

10 år er meget lang tid på nettet. Jeg tror faktisk ikke, at websitet, som vi kender dem, findes om ti år. Og dermed vil bannerne ikke rigtig have et sted at &quot;bo&quot;. De er et levn fra print-dagenes annoncer og kræver en temmelig kontrolleret kontekst. 

Markedsføring som sådan vil selvfølgelig ikke dø, men budskabet vil i langt højere grad blive bygget ind i indholdet, som vi ser med product placement på film og tv nu.
